Council Waste and Recycling Education Programs

KESAB works with a number of councils to deliver waste and recycling education programs and to develop resources for schools and residents. Click here to view sample resources.

School Education

KESAB has Council partnerships to deliver FREE school education programs as part of South Australia’s commitment to reduce waste and encourage recycling.

A range of programs are available for Tea Tree Gully, Port Adelaide Enfield and Unley schools and can be structured to meet individual requirements. 

You can choose to visit Statewide Recycling or have a KESAB Education Officer visit your site to deliver 40 - 60 minute sessions to SRC or environment groups, staff, parents, grounds committee and/or individual classes (maximum of 5 sessions).

The City of Tea Tree Gully

In 2010 the City of Tea Tree Gully is providing schools and preschools with a range of free KESAB programs including:                                                                                                    

  • Statewide Recycling Excursions                  
  • Presentations and workshops to establish/improve collection systems  and                                                                 
  • Resource Recovery bin sort and relay activities
  • Papermaking workshops and kit hire

In 2010 the City of Port Adelaide Enfield Waste Education Initiative is providing schools and preschools with free programs including:                                                                          

  • Statewide Recycling excursions
  • Presentations and workshops to establish/improve collection systems
  • Resource Recovery bin sort and relay activities
  • Papermaking workshops and kit hire
